Northern Light Dance Academy is more than just a dance school; we are a dance family
in 2019 Miss Jess joined the team, Miss Jess is a key part of the team bringing her love of tap dance & performance experience to our lessons followed by Jayden in 2024 bringing fresh choreography and core strength to our classes & Miss Ellesha finally joined our team in 2025 whos love for commercial and musical theatre shines through! we each bring a unique flair to our classes!
we are more than just dance lessons we are a community where every dancer is treated with care and pushed to become the best they can be!

with optional exams & competitions there is no pressure,

Hello I'm Miss Dee, as well as teaching & running all the admin/behind the scenes of the school, I also collaborate with the council & take the NLDA brand into local schools!
I'm so lucky to have a job that I enjoy, above all I love working with young people watching them improve & grow as dancers ! Cheer & Musical theatre are my favourite styles! I'm the head of Cheer giving all our cheer & street
dancers the opportunity to compete at
national level!

Hello I'm Miss Kirstie - I organise all the winter ballet exams that our dancers have the option to take & also work alongside Miss Dee organising the annual showcases & presentation
evenings.
Dance has been so life changing for me. As a teacher I want to ensure our students feel confident inspired & motivated at all times, I want our students to accomplish things they are proud of and have lots of fun along the way!

passion for dance onto our talented dancers at NLDA! I enjoy getting
creative, choreographing pieces for our annual showcases & teaching young people!
I am the Tap & Jazz Lead at the school & I'm so proud of each and every
dancer that comes into our lessons!

SLP College; level 6 Diploma. IDTA teacher trained.
Hello, I’m Jayden! The best thing about teaching at NLDA is seeing the students grow in confidence and watching them shine in the studio and on stage!
My favourite style of dance is MT Jazz because it combines strong technique with performance skills, which makes it so much fun to perform and teach.

Hello, I’m Miss Ellesha!
I teach a variety of styles across the school, however my favourites are street and technique class. I also hold my level 3 cheerleading coaching qualifications to be able to teach stunts and tumbling.
I love being able to watch each child progress in technique and grow in
confidence each week.
